WoW likes a lot having more than 512MB in ram....... I had 512 and upgraded to 1GB and it was a lot smother in cities and instances..

Running the game at 1280x1024 with everything on highest and AF WoW needs alot of RAM.
With 1.5gb of RAM at those settings there is no after loading at all.
With 1gb of RAM there is slight afterloading and pausing of the game cause it is slightly overflowing into the pagefile.
With 512mb of RAM playing the game is almost unbearable. Each time you move to a new area you should just let the computer sit for a few minutes to load EVERYTHING into the pagefile.
I am running at 1gb of ram since my extra stick of 512mb is only PC2700, and this CPU (Opteron) needs PC3200 to run at normal speed. However, I am thinking about putting in the extra stick of 512mb to get my memory back to 1.5gb at the loss of a slower FSB.
Also, when running WoW, my pagefile is at 1.3gb used.

ya it really sux i cant even play americas army any more on it because of the FPS when AAO first came out it ran fine, then in WoW during raids its gets so slow it really irritating | |

lol it doesnt slow down that bad when im soloing or in small 5man groups it really gets bad when in like 20man and 40man raids | |

Bow was sold for 165 gold.... and Dagger for 285....
I was extremely lucky those days on par with the 20G I make when I hit the AH every two levels from all leather and Herbs I gather...
And im just 56.. probably when i get to 60 I will have enough money for epic mount i just need another 200G | |
