| Your impressions of EA's upcoming RTS >> LOTR, Battle for Middle-earth
Real Time strategy is not really EA Games' forte but EA are - in general - great game developers IMHO so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. Plus, I'ma huge LOTR fan so I'm getting this game almost for sure.
But for you guys - what are your expectations of LOTR: Battle for middle-earth?

I have looked at the previews and... I will be buying it; looks pretty cool IMO

Better be better then the LOTR RPG for consoles. That was overhyped soooo much lol.

CD-ROM version:
* OS: Windows XP or 2000
* CPU: 1.3 GHz or faster
* RAM: 256 MB
* DISC DRIVE: 8x or faster CD/DVD drive
* HARD DRIVE: 4 GB or more free space
* VIDEO: DirectX 9.0b compatible
* SOUND: DirectX 9.0b compatible
* INPUT: Keyboard and mouse
Video card with 32 MB or more memory and one of these chipsets is required: NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS or greater ATI Radeon 7500 or greater.
One set of discs per PC. 512 MB RAM needed for 3 or more Players. Network (2-8 Players); Internet (2 Players): 56 Kbps Internet connection, (3-8 Players): Cable, DSL, or a faster connection.

It looks great. Hopefully they havent rushed development to the point where we need 3 patches to get it to work right online. I'll definitely pick it up

don't the specs look a tad too low relative to how the game looks and relative to all the other games coming out nowadays? |

| Not at all. It will run on my faithful old eVga MX200 w/ 64mbs!
Then again, with the exception of the OpenGL I run most newer games on it.
