well there are the specs of these 2 new systems and i think it is easy to see that the phantom will be the winner here. also the phantom looks kinda cool a metalic white and black while the apex looks like a silver x box wanna be.

some how i think you were looking at mini atx pc system not a console....

its possible the company or person building this mini itx system is most likely passing it off as a console which it sound's like it isn't....

all your seeing is window dressing, a mini itx sitting a xbox case hmmm how original, its been done before and it will be done again and again all over again with different painted cases....

Considering that the console has a 5 year product cycle. It won't be very fast. Condisering what PS3 and XBOX2 will be sporting for processor power, it won't be very fast. If you compare it to the original XBOX, then its fast. It's just not up to par with the next gen consoles.

Phantom was that consol that was made by infinalabs(sp). I think that they folded or are non-existant, or something like that. There was an artical on them somewhere on TIMO about them.

yeah that is the company they have aparently sebtled all the law suits and are placeing all there reasorces into the phantom. also these are not mini atx machines.

well it doesnt realy bother me if they come out or not if they do good it will drive down the prices of the xbox 2 and ps3. and if they dont then we wont have people whinning that there consol is better then the ps3 like we had when the xbox came out.

its ok to say there's a new console in the wings, though we have yet to hear of any games being in production by any of the major gaming houses for this so called new console, so its fantacy console someone dreamed up or its a console mini atx mod...

going from its namesake i'm guessing this system is a console mod of some sort...

until i see some solid proof of games being developed for this console and its projected release date, i'm going to call it a console mod cause that look's like what it is..

I think I remember reading about those. If memory serves, they weren't really consoles, more like PC-Console hybrid. They would play standard PC games in a console setting. I think where they where planning to make their money was pushing the store/rental service that came with them. (you would use their store to buy games for the system.
