hello i just got call of duty installed on my machine and every time it starts up it kicks me out and closes i have installed direct x 9.0c and the 1.5 patch any ideas thanks

When it starts back up do you get a message asking if you want to start it up with the default settings?

try uninstalling the game then reinstalling.
you sure you got the full dx 9.0c...the only reason i ask is that the end user runtime from msft is a sort of download manager for the full dx install..........so if you only got the run time, you'll need the full install.
have you tried playing the game with out any patches?
if you've installed any no-cd patches you'll need to remove those or get a 1.5 no cd.....if there is one.
also make sure you have the latest drivers for the 9800.
but first uninstall and reinstall............see how that goes............. | |
