At the Menu the music plays but in the gameplay, no music nor sounds.

what os? This usually happens when you delete your pagefile.

it means uninstall the game ...remove all programs of the game and intall it agan ... i have age of empire 2 too but this doesnt happen to me i also have xp professional.. but natin like this ever happen to me b4 so i dont know wats wrong with your thing ,,, maybe the cd is scratch or you might have done some chages in the game while you were playing you should check the setings of the game before you uninstall it.

I never knew they needed to be updated, my music and everythings plays, just not the sound in AOE II. sound even plays in the game menu but not in the game.

weird ummm i dont know what else to say but put it this way at least you can play and you dont really need to have sound to enjoy the game ... i mean isnt it enough when they all dye ?

welll at least is not that "great of a game" so is not a big loss

hey but if you just got the gmae nad you still have the recieve which i really think you dont buit who cares try to return the game adn exchange it for another or get a ne AOE II

Go to the cpanel, system, and there should be something about the Pagefile in one of the tabs. otherwise I don't know what else you can try

just put in your music on and forget about the game sound

I recently bought Age of Empires II off amazon.com

the only problem is, it loads fine, no stops there, but when i double click on the icon to play the game, it comes up and says its loading, then it disappears and its done. For some reason it doesnt load the game for me to play.

can anyone offer any advice?
