Xbox Downloadable content help? - Tech Support Forums

Howdy Folks!!!

Now I'm wondering... is there a way to download xbox downloadable content onto your computer, so you can then put it on a CD-RW (I know xbox doesn't like to read CD-Rs) so you can then put that cd you made into your xbox and get the content?

I guess I'm looking for a way to get the new KOTOR stuff without having xbox live.
I know they have put downloadable content onto demo discs and stuff before, and I know xbox reads CD-RWs... so I just thought maybe there is a place where I can download a cd image to make a cd that my xbox will read and stuff...

I'm not sure if it is possible. and I get the feeling its not legal.

There is not way that the content can be burned seeing that the xbox has no CD/Dvd burner on it. And the xbox wouldnt even read the info on the disk even if you somehow got it burned.

No just extra levels and stuff like that I would imagine, like on unreal tournament you get extra levels etc.

unless u get ur Xbox chipped (voids warranty) i dont think it'll read CD/DVD-Rs

For some strange reason my 360 wont connect to my router, so i took my hard drive over to my friends house who has a 360 with Live. I set up an account and all and i got some downloadable content (songs for Guitar Hero 3 and Halo 3 maps). I took the hard drive home and i put it back onto my 360 and when i play Halo 3 or Guitar Hero 3, the content isnt showing. I checked for the content on the memory and it is there...but it isnt showing in the game. It worked at my friend's house so i know its there.

It links to a specific account, if your not using the same account and it has no way to authenticate that account then your content isnt going to work.
