POP2 at 1280x1024? How?
Does anyone know how to get Prince of PErsia 2 to run in 1280x1024 res. Its the native res of my monitor. It makes me sick that new games, fail to recognise that there ARE folks who run at such high res. And refuse to recognise or simply ignore those needs. A $50 title -with great graphics and yet low res ONLY. WTF. Sorry Im just a little upset by all these new games forcing low res. on me all the time.

I blame console ports and lazy coders.
Have you checked for a config file? usually you can have some extra tweaking in there.Prayer cleanses the soul, but pain cleanses the body

Thats the mode I want and its listed in the config.log file. Now google reveals many upon many folks saying the game has a max res. of 1024x768. In game options thats the max it shows me too. It appears the problem is the failure to detect DDC I.E. the max resolution and refresh supported by the monitor. How laim. The coders can make a superb game, that is heavily coded. And cant do a simple task like detect the monitor settings. LAIM, LAIM, LAIM. Ubisoft you have a email on the way-and maybe a petition (@petitions online) to fix it as well. Battle for Middle earth did the same thing to me. I had to change the ini file manually just to get proper resolution. LOL.

I'm inclined to agree. I mean, the game cube version we rented. It ran like a dream. The cut scenes were smooth and great looking. The cut scenes on PC are jerky. I have a 2.4gig Athlon, Radeon 9800 1gig ddr400 and 160gig 8mb cache sata hdd. What exactly do they expect one to have, in order to run it as well as a $150 game cube does. Thats a joke. Were talking what $1500=$2k rigs to play the game proper. I mean price now, cause mine was near $1500 at one time. Its ridiculous. I can run doom III like perfect and at high res max details. Far cry same thing. BFME same thing. LOL.Last edited by Xtreeme; April 26th, 2005 at 03:45 PM.
