| CS 1.6 Dedicated Server Help
I am running a server on my home PC, just a map test server for some of my friends, but everytime i shut it down and restart it later or the next day it changes IP.
Is there any way to get a static IP? Any help would be appreciated.

Could you describe a little more what your network consists of?
Internet going straight into the computer? Internet going to a router then to multiple computers? Internet to a switch/hub then to multiple computers?
Thanks.

You can only request a static IP through your Internet provider, and they will most likely charge you extra for one, if it is offered.

If it is DSL then It will change everyday like my old one. I used to do it all the time in CS1.6.
cable changes but every 6 months or so.
Static IP is usally $10/month so no need to call. :0 i tried like you too,
