Average being...not worth the buy really? Games get so much hype these days its hard not too get sucked in. I will ride it out awhile, if it seems worth it I will try it. But not for awhile. At least from what you two said anyways.

The loading times are no problem, unless you consider a 2 second load screen a big issue.
It has it's good moments, but it doesn't seem to know what kind of game it's trying to be.
It tries to be an MMORPG, and it tries to be a regular PC RPG. The problem is, it's not as good an MMORPG as WoW, and not as good a PC RPG as games like NWN."If you are first you are first. If you are second, you are nothing."

GW is relying on the PvP aspect more than the standard RPG.
They call it a CORPG.. competitive online RPG.
Which is why I don't care for it, I'm not a big PvP person.
The RPG aspect of it bores the ever living hell out of me

Did a bit of PvP on it. Killed 7 people before I died with my Monk/Warrior combo.
Was probably the only bit so far that I've enjoyed though

Can you do things like fish and craft like in WoW, or is just level and fight more powerful stuff?

Why are so many bashing on it? Lets face it nothin will compare to world of warcraft the game was very well thought out and very unique.

Picked this up yesterday. since alot of my friends who arent mmorpg people ( see fees and run
) are playing.
Ive been playing warcraft since the release day. And in some aspects i feel guild wars lacking in depth.
But it is very very easy on the eyes. And when you get together with some friends online for night. Its simply awsome.
But like vass said, its not WoW and isnt set out to be. But in my mind, im still comparing it to that.Prayer cleanses the soul, but pain cleanses the body

The fact that it's free is a nice bonus though. If it wasn't free then I wouldn't cancel my WoW account to fund GW.
Hey Wish, you'll be on the Euro servers right?
If you want, give me a shout when I'm online. I'm called Tai Cho (my characters are usually called Taicho, but GW makes you have a 1st and 2nd name
)

Thanks for the extensive response, it's much appreciated! I'm definitely going to look at all these options. Do you think the prices of the 660, 660ti or 7870 will drop when the new cards come out?
