Well, first off, this is my setup:
Grey ATX case with blue LED's Stock 480 watt PSU
Abit IS7-E2 Motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz Prescott CPU with HTT
1 GB DDR-400 Corsair RAM (Two 512 sticks)
All-In-Wonder Radeon graphics card
When I open BattleField it just opens to a black screen then closes. If it's a graphics card problem, I'm looking to buy a new one anyway. Any suggestions? I'm looking for one under around 200 that has video in and video out. Is a Radeon 9800 Pro any good? |

BF2 requires at least a radeon 8500 (i believe). i have the 9600 All In Wonder and enjoy it very much. 9800 pro is good, but im sure some people on here can find some really great deals |

i would go with an 6600gt before a 9800 pro.
but bf2 is a very demanding game. I cannot max it out on my pci express 6600gt

Recently there have been deals on an All in Wonder X800 XT for around $300!

Check out CompUSA and Fry's. They have a Radeon 9550 that is pretty good for less that $130. It has 8x AGP and 256 MB, not bad for the price. |

I personally run a MSI Nvidia 5200 and it seems to work just fine if you run a lot of settings on low or Med. That only costs about $75. |

you can get a 9800pro for LESS and a 9800pro will mop the floor with it without breaking a sweat. Or you can get a 6600GT which smokes a 9800pro in BF2 for ~20 bucks more.
