    have finaly gone over to a 64bit athlon and x64 and have beentold there is a patch for splintercell chaos theory.can this be confermed and if so where can i get it from.

    I don't think there is an x64 patch for it...I couldn't find one.

    mmmm.

    if you're saying it installs ok but won't run from the disc on xp64 then thats not unusual.

    farcry and doom 3 did the same thing. for me anyway.

    far cry now has a 64 bit patch. well worth a look.

    your problem may be overcome with the use of a no cd or no dvd patch (maybe a miniiso mounted on a virtual drive)

    the use of these things is legal as i understand it, provided you own the game, which you do.

    it installed with no probs at allas did doom 3 but unlike splinter cell doom3 worked fine. but will try a no cd patch thanks
