Play XBOX over net without having to pay for XBOX Live?

No, this isn't a hackzoring thread, or anything of that sort.

I just wana know is that if I take an ethernet cable from my router to my bro's XBOX, will it do XBOX over the net w/o buying Live?

Think about it, if you just buy a cable modem and hook up an ethernet cable to your computer, does that mean you will have internet? no.

So in order for xbox to be used online you need to subscribe, or as they posted, xbconnect

Exactly what I was going to post. Xbox Connect is a free (Used to be, I haven't used it in a long time) tunneling service.
