    Problem with cd drive

     
    I dont know what i did with out this place. for some reason my disc isn't being read. Anything i could check?

    First examine the disk for any scratches, smudges, or any signs of not being even across
    the surface from possible exposure to heat. Try a lens cleaner to make sure the drive itself
    is free of dust and any possible debris from placing and removing disks from the drive. One
    other immediate idea is to try several other disks in the same drive as well as trying the cd
    you are having problems with in another even on another system to see if it is defective.

    yeah other disc worked so I don't think it is the drive any more. But i'll try the disc cleaning any stuff.

    Also try starting thread about CDs and CD-Drives in the correct hardware or media topic areas.
