1 gig of ram would definately help with WoW but its not required... especially if you dont spend a lot of time in Org or Ironforge (two primary capital cities) or if you're not in large raid groups.
Private servers would be boring because there are VERY few people on it compared to a normal server.. not to mention bugs on server side code.
Auction House would be almost non-existant in comparison |

WOW is a very addicting game. Be sure that when you buy it, you have a lot of free time. You will want to play it incessantly for about 2 months. After that you start to get used to it and it fits into life a little better. You still play it almost as much, but you don't put off chores and such just to play. It gets boring for me sometimes so I don't play it everyday anymore. After a while it gets boring using the same spells over and over again, and there's not as much variety in mobs (enemies) as I would have liked. A lot of the mobs you fight you will be fighting in more than one area, they just beef them up with more HP and better attacks. However it seems there are always new things to do and it paces pretty well. If you get bored you just make a new character. It goes on forever. Don't buy it if you easily get addicted to things, it's a hardcore game. However any game gets depressing/boring once you overplayed it. |

yea, well thnx for the ops both of you, and vass, i'd probably only travel in a group of 3-4 max....so i probably wont get the extra 512, but if i see some lag on my part, ill splurge for it later on or something.....
and i can get addicted to something....but not very easily.....but maybe it'll be different for this |

We all said we werent going to get addicted... and somewhat WoW gots us addicted, I have been playing since release, altought my current time frame is quite problematic I still play an hour or two when possible.
If you played any of the Warcraft games and know some of the lore, you will find you more inmersed on the game, the amount of content is overwhelming, I have made 6 characters playing all some of the classes and every time I find different quests to do.
Having a group of friends helps a lot due that you can do content easier, but you can solo a lot, getting on a guild also helps, getting instances, crafted gear and quests and overall help its a lot easier this way.
An one last comment ....
for the horde! (They are the cool guys and overall better start quests) |

I have played many MMO games and WOW is by far the best. If u have friends to play with it is the best IMO. I have never payed monthly 4 a game and thought the idea ludacrise but after WOW i understand the purpose + u will be amazed how little $15 a month actually is. But u will play more than an hour a day. Be aware if u want to limit play time the only way I have found is to play 3-5 hours every 3 days or so. Once u get going its tough to stop.
Also it is suggest u get a decent amount of ram. My bro has 1/2 gig and any maro city lags alot. But if ur upgrading comps soon u can afford to hold out. |
