Red Orchestra anyone?
I want to know who here is planning to get (or has already pre-ordered) Red Orchestra.
Red Orchestra is a new Steam game that will be released next month.
In my own words, it's a Russian version of DOD:S with tanks and other vehicles and plenty of different weapons to choose from
So, it is basically a mixture of DOD:S and BF2, at least that's how it seems to me.
Oh, and btw, I will be hosting a big server for this game, so don't worry about anything as far as that goes

I thought red orchestra was a mod for unreal tournament. what happened? Well, eastern front seems very interesting. I might get it if I hear some good things about it.

I just pre-ordered my copy

I also heard it was an UT mod, but once I saw the trailer on steam, I didn't care, I just wanted to play it and stop drooling all over myself!

All source games crash on my server computer (2400+ semrpon, ati 9000 AIW). They have worked before, and the last time this happened, the only way I was able to solve it was do to a fresh install of windows
Thankfully, no such problems exist on my main gaming computer, although some other problems do, like lagging out of public servers
I get over it though...

I loved RO for UT! The only problem was finding servers, since it never took off. It's similar to DOD, but I think that the gameplay isn't as fast paced. I found it to be surprisingly distinct from DOD.

I must say that I don't really like this game nearly as much as DOD:S, and I thought that I was easily going to be able to put up a server. However, I do not know how to put up a server, so as of right now, there is not going to be a TIMO Red Orchestra server up anytime soon

March 15th, 2006, 11:15 PM #13I have it for UT2K4 and never get it to run right.Funny, UT2K4 runs flawlessly. Hopefully, under Steam, it will fare better.
