Halo: Combat Evolved Issue

Wow. Haven't been here since...July? Long time.

Anyways, I'm sure many of us agree Halo's an awesome game on any console, if not a bit better on XBox. Well I've had this game for a while, and loved to play it, but recently the CD more or less met its demise. As in, it snapped in half. Yeah. My fault. Bad move.

Anyways, with all possible legal intentions here, as I did rightfully buy the game, but accidently mauled the CD, I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a no CD patch for the latest version of Halo(1.7 I think), because I really don't want to spend another $20 on this game. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Haha. Very funny.

I've searched google many a time without any success for one that'll work with the newest Halo. So I'm still searching, but hoping someone here might already have an idea of where to go.

you may want to try your friendly neighborhood p2p app. closest thing I could find through google was a 1.4 no-cd @ gamecopyworld. You may also want to invest in a program like Alcohol 120 to make archival backups of your CDs.

I don't believe there is a no-cd patch for anything higher than 1.04...and if you use that, the MP servers you can pick from are few...with 1.07 there are 100 times as many servers up.

You could email M$ and see how much it would cost for them to ship you a new cd...I think it is about $5 IIRC.

for fear of persecution, im just going to say gamecopyworld halo mini image + daaemon tools will let you run it no worries, regardless of what version of halo

good luck with it, i have no idea where my halo cd has gone too so im in the same position
