Alright well I am making the official Oblivion thread, lol I hope it doesn't have to be approved. Anyways, this is for all your questions and tips etc.

I downloaded the random mod today where everything is randomized so the first guy you ever encounter when you are level 1 could be the same guy you normally wouldn't encounter till you were level 5 or w/e but there are big payoffs. . . haven't seen any yet as I am a theif and have a hard time killing the mountain lions.

Anyways, my tip is when you are trying to steal something, quicksave right b4, or if you are trying to pickpocket.

Question: When somebody is sleeping and you are trying to steal from them, what deteremines if they are going to wake up? One of the loading tips said the heavier the thing u try to pick up when you are stealing, the easier it is to be detected, but what about pick-pocketing? What is the governing attribute? Is it Sneak? If so I am at like 60 and sometimes till get caught taking 13 gold, other times I can make off with a body of heavy armor :S

EDIT: Well I made this thread cuz I was trying to search for an Oblivion thread but my internet is going SO INCREDIBLY slow, like it just took a minute to fully load this page to edit; I hate 26Kbps dial-up while downloading a file for school. Anyways, I just was that there was another Oblivion thread with 153 posts already, if u guys just want to use that one that's fine lol, anyways; just wanted to post my question etc. then go practice my violin instead of taking the time to search. I have a question. Well 2 actualy. question one. How do you get the full set of armour that you draw from the runestones. Cause iv tried getting to eachg runestone but the bits of armour i have (eg gloves and dagger) dissapear before i get there.
And my secon question. Where can you get the boots that let you walk on water? I think the boots are part of the armour i talked in question one.
If anyone knows please reply.

Where are these runestones you talk about??

The runestones i talk about are sort of like large stones stiking out the ground that have green writing/symbols on the front. You can have to look for them though casuse the are located in the wildernes. I think there is one near the sky rym temple (its called something along those lines) north west of bruma. Its sighn on the map is a bit of paper with 3 circles on it positioned like this.

The runestones you speak of are basically armor conjuration runestones. When you activate them, they bestow upon you Daedric armor/weapons for a limited amount of time (just like a conjuration spell). To find armor like this in the world you'll have to just do some adventuring.

true... ive come upon about 4-5 runestones...

it snice that we have an official thread now

as for the boots on water... i used a sigil stone to make my own boots... one of em had the walk on water spell
