    bf2142

first off, i was wodnering if there was any speculation on if the next in line in the battlefielid series will demand more form ym computer then bf2.
i suppose its pretty obvious this is not goint to be a booster or expansion pack.
and i also wondering if after armored fury EA is calling it quits on more bf2 developments or after armored it'll be dead in the water.
and how does everyone feel about this new futuristic setting? will it still be battlefield? like REAL battlefield? (well yeah, but will it still have the same feeling)

Personally, I think it looks really fun. Futuristic settings are one of my favorite era's to play in and I think there's a lot of possibility with this game.

I think it will be cool. I just hope they do not release the game in alpha stage.

If you're referring to the bugginess of BF2, you can blame that on EA. These developers are worked like dogs and have a deadline for these projects. Being worked like dogs (80 hour work weeks to be specific and getting let out early on Saturday's if they're on "good behavior") doesn't help the development process and neither do the tight deadlines.

Really? 80 hours a week. Man that really sucks. I'm beggining to relize why EA is loosing any respect they once had. Of course they also buy out and ruin any company that they get there hands on. Does Westwood studios sound familiar? They were the makers of the series Command & Conquer. Except you dont here of them any more. EA shut down that portion of the company in 2003.

uhmm if EA stops further development on BF2, Some little company( like the ones that Acually started BF2 ) will sumerge and make a Good MOD for it, and All the fans of BF2 will go for that just like desert storm was release for bf 1942- so dont woryr about it, i dont think Bf2 is gonna die any time soon, even after this futaristic game comes out, I think it might leave a bad taste on current players- and i think they jumped to far ahead, way ahead---but is funny how they still using bullets?---on 2142.....lol
WE should be on some kind of laser by then

Not really, because projectiles are and always be far superior to a laser (getting one to do anything lethal in such a small device would be extremely complicated). If a laser would be on anything it would be some sort of cannon.

at first i thought it was stupid, and didnt like it. but now im begginning to think this may be a really really good game, i dont think it will be waaayy futuristic, were still using bullets, there will probly be all kinds of sweet gadgets to use, and the commander will probly have all kinds of abilities, assuming they keep the whole cammander thing....if they didnt that would suck
