According to a study published today in a loca paper the average man in London earns around 800 quid a week and the average woman around 650.
Thats 1504 dollars a week for a man and 1222 dollars a week for a woman
Minimum wage in this country is close to ten dollars per hour.
While we pay a lot more we get paid a lot more too.
The original PS2 cost around 600 dollars, the 360 premium bundle with the HDD and wireless controller retails for about 550 dollars and the Nintendo Gamecube for nearly 200 dollars.
Games cost close to 95 dollars on next gen consoles and 85 dollars on the PC.
In this country the original xbox and gamecube were cheaper than the PS2 throughout their respective lives yet the PS2 absolutely slaughtered both of them put together in Europe.
You can get hold of a gamecube for around half of what you pay for the PS2 but it still outsells it.
Since xbox's are now paperweights a lot of places sell them for as little as a third as much as the PS2 but the PS2 still rapes the Xbox.
I don't know about any other market but the European market is not one to cry about price.
After all we are the ones behind a 2 million dollar bugatti and prefer 300,000 dollar ferraris to 50 thousand dollar corvettes due to a few small differences.
If Sony lose this market I'd be very surprised.
Europe is pro quality and anti-cheap and the PS3's relative superiority should buy them out.
By the way with the HD DVD drive attached to the 360 the 360 wouldn't leave much change from a thousand bucks
