Anyone play the PREY demo yet???

After waiting about an hour in a queue to download it (450mb) I finally got a chance to play it... It was a lot of fun, kinda like Doom 3 meets Q4 type deal. It ran pretty solid on my rig at 1280x1024 with max settings, including AA/AF.

Specs:
Opteron 146 @ 2.8GHz
2GB RAM
X1900XTX

Gonna run the demo on my 2nd gaming rig with a 3700+@2.55GHz and a 7600GT to see how it runs there.

Absolutely loved the demo! This is definitely one of the few games that I am deadset on purchasing in 2006. I remember first having the opportunity to test the wall/ceiling walking bit during E3 -- it's quite an... interesting experience.

Oh, and it works just fine on my 7600GT system as well. I played it with the same settings, except without AA or AF and it was always between 40-60fps. (game is locked at 60 so you won't get above that)

I can even swing a bit of AA and it'll still be perfectly playable.

finally got the demo and got sucked up into the ship, smacked 3-4 of those little fat worm thingies and now nothing, just wondering around? What's up with this?

Heh, I downloaded it a day or so ago(FileFront FastPass FTW(CGW decided to get rid of the cds they were shipping and gave us a year of FF FP for free ).

But I didn't try it yet.

You're not looking hard enough... There was a couple times that I was just aimlessly wondering around for sometime, eventually I found my way though.

downloaded last nite ..it played on 1280 rez with maxed settings

the game is pretty freakin good , the walking on walls and ceiling things is kool

the creature graphics are pretty crazy had alot of fun playing ...

the only question now is do i get it for pc or xbox 360 ????

that depends. do you have a pretty decadent PC? do you like playing mods? does the thought of playing an fps with a pair of joysticks really appeal to you?

Is it just me or does video games that have cussing in them kind of hokie?

I think the best one would that actually fit was the quake one.

Its already out I believe, and I plan on picking this one up. The wall walking and the loopy levels made me dizzy and kinda sick.... signs of a game that will rock. I tried the multiprey as well and that was very fun, pretty much like ut though but still great.

Let this one download over night, in the mean time that game they showed at E3, from crytek , i believe it was Crysis, it looked amazing!

I really haven't been impressed with the video's I've seen of Crysis... It looked exactly like FarCry with animated foilage.

PREY is not out yet. It will be released sometime in July.
