The group leaves the final 16 percent for Wii.
Sony's PlayStation 2 controls approximately 70 percent of the current-generation market, with GameCube and Xbox evenly splitting the final 30 percent. The prediction is based on the belief that Microsoft will lower the 360's price next year, pressuring Sony to do the same with its US$600 console.
While the three current consoles combined for sales of roughly 140 million systems worldwide, the Yankee Group puts next-generation sales numbers at less than half that amount through 2011. Despite maintaining the same market share, the analysts put total Wii sales at 11 million units, about 10 million units less than GameCube. | I'm sorry, but I file this analyst as an idiot if they truly believe the Wii is going to sell 10 million units less than GameCube did. link: http://www.nintendojo.com/infocus/vi...php?1156119315

yea that along with some of the predicted percentages is kinda hard for me to swallow
i think with the interaction that is involved with the Wii that alone will make fanboys love the console

I think it would be cool if the PS3 did that, but I really doubt it will. |

Share-anylists have always been pretty stupid, but using taht technique on a gaming console is plain retarded.
Nintendo is going to sell half as many units this year?! Please! Look at the polls moron, Nintendo is in the lead. And if actual gamers say they're going to buy the Wii and not the PS3, well that is far more accurate than some rich jerk who'd love to see Nintendo die.
I was thinknig Sony was going to win up until a month ago. Now, even within the margin of error, the polls show Nintendo is going to stomp out the competition this year.
