I have the game installed and everything, and it seems like it is pathced fully, but i keep getting p error that says " You have been kicked by punkbuster". This happens about every 30 seconds, i have no hacks or anything, it also happens on punkbuster free servers too, anyone got a fix for this?

i updated my pb drivers let me checfk if it does the trick also you know the vet program where you sign up and everything, i did that but i cannot retrieve my account, any idea where i can get my account info for this stuff? I think i won't be able to, my old bf2 accoutn had special chars like ~ and = and now you cannot do that in Bf2142

ok! tried everything. i get the same thing. done everything you guys mention and everything other people mention (firewall blocked etc) but it still kicks me out sayin punkbuster error cannot initiate handshake.
OH MY GOD!!! ive been sat here for hours!
if someone could help that would actually be amazing! cheers! | |

Are you using Vista?
Right click the 2142 icon and choose run as administrator.
Make sure PB B and PB A are running too. Press Ctl + Alt + Del to view processes.

I hear everyone talking about this, my friend gets the same message.
i have been surfing a couple of forums and everyone says "try updating your Punkbuster manually"

you could try doing that. if it does not work just search on google, and look up some forums. | |

in the link you put in (even OLDER than this thread is, to say the least), the link they show, no longer works for that app, so its worthless... all you get on the page for the PBWeb stuff is this "PBWEB has been discontinued. Please visit our PBSetup page." (already knew all of this before hand, as for those of us running Joint Operations, along with BF2, we have to do the same damn things)
