Battlefield 2142 System Requirements

Hey there
I am considering buying Battlefield 2142 because it looks like a really fun online multiplayer but first I want to know if my PC will be able to handle it and I will be able to get decent enough looking graphics on it.

My PC specs are:
Intel Celeron 2.60GHz CPU.
1GB DDR Ram.
256MB ATI X1650 Pro AGP8x Graphics card.

I hope I am able to run this game on a nice graphical settings quality and if not would I still be able to play it?
Thanks for your help,
Frink

Your system passes the minimum required spec, but falls a little short on minimum recommended. That means it'll runn, but probably with some lag & low graphic detail.

Never could get back to you on your instant message but 13 fps is very very low thats like playing a sideshow, I thought you were talking about the gun bobbing up and down at first.

Lower all of the gfx detail. thats all i can say.

Hey Pyro,

My old laptop had the ATI Radeon IGP340 video chipset & it didn't meet the minimum. Your won't either. Also BF2142 requires a minimum of 512mb of ram & your system only appears to have 128mb.

Sorry for the bad news &
Welcome to TechIMO.

But the biggest question is whether you have high speed Internet?

Pyro, if you were to add 512mb to that Thinkpad, it'd be a much better secondary computer. IMO that would be $50 well spent.
