GMOD 9 not showing up in steam game list

I just downloaded gmod for the first time & it wont show up in the games list. can someone please help me?

you must half life and other games have to get garry's mod or he does not!
i have the orange box and gmod does perfect.

I think you need a few source games for Gmod 9 to work.
Buy Half-life 2 and see what happens.
