Halo 3 Lag Issue
This has happened since the release of the game. Everytime i am playing mulitplayer, my bar turns red and it is unplayable. Also, while waiting in the lobby, everybody tells me my mic keeps breaking up. Whenever i play in a different game it seems to be fine. Any Help?
thanks

This is exactly what is happening to me.
I have Halo 3, and COD4 beta currently. I play Halo 3, my connection is at 1 red bar in game. I leave, I enter COD4 beta and I get a 3-4 green bar connection, no lag at all, plays fine.
My NAT is set to open, I can join matchmaking games, I can participate in them, but the lag is so bad that I cant do anything in game.

I have SBC/ATT and a speedstream 4100. The 5100 should work just fine unless there is something really different between the models.
run a speed test on there site and see if your getting what you are paying for. I upgraded my package last year and they upped my upload, but not my download speed. I had to spend a hour or so checking everything in my setup. (ran new phone line, cut it down to one phone,etc,etc...) in the end I proved they were at fault and in just a few seconds the guy bumped my speed up to what it should be.
Download = 5.062 Mbps
Upload = 661.59 kbps
I just ran that and i have a few other programs running on the net right now, so it is well within spec.
SBC's test site. http://helpme.att.net/dsl/speedtest/

I have a Linksys WRT54G or whatever it is. Compatible with XBL, since last night though I've now been able to connect to a game with less lag. mainly be fluxuating between full green to middle yellow then to red again. But I've been happy to play a few rounds. its still not consistent though, it does not always allow me to play somewhat normal.
Its odd that at some times I can connect. It seems to deal with the traffic on the Halo servers. When it comes closer to evening its harder to play then when playing at 2 in the afternoon.

Working just fine for me must be your internet connection.
You people are you satisfied with this kind of world? I'm not.

Is it working better now?
The first time I played online with H3 I got disconnected during the game (and was unable to connect at all at other times while trying to play). Today I tried again and everything was working pretty great it seemed."The problem with quotations on the internet is that the sources are hard to verify" - Abraham Lincoln

it seems like it was working better, must have been that the servers were really full, and by the way its not the internet it runs everything else online flawless.
