You guys are complaining if you get pings in 80?
I'm happy if I get 150.

upgrade your internet then :P im complainging mainly that when i get into the server...it runs kinda smoothly, but now and then i get a lag...which cause of my luck, is mainly at crucial moments...its jsut little annoyances that id rather be without :P |

cheers for the suggestion, but i already have that installed so its not that  any other idea's?? its quite a strange problem...i thought maybe my firewall had some sort of input, but when disabled, it still happened  |

hi i was just reading what is said try this.
my ping gets down to 28 and stays in the 30s
seta pb_sleep 500
My Computer
Local Disk (C) for most people
Program Files
Activision
Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare
Players
Profiles
"Name" (Your player name)
config_mp.cfg (open in wordpad)
Change the following
seta cg_drawFPS "1"
seta cg_drawLagometer "1" if u dont want this on your gaming screen any more just press ` for console and type cg_drawLagometer 0 then hit enter.
seta cl_maxpackets "100"
seta com_hunkMegs "512" - or half your RAM
seta com_maxfps "125" - set to "333" for high end cards
seta rate "25000"
seta snaps "30"
seta cl_packetdup "0"
seta r_gpusync "0"g

Exactly. If your ping is 80 to 300 your fine. Anyone saying that you need a super low ping doesn't know what their talking about. It's not a huge factor. What is a factor is the pipe you have there, I.E your ISP... Is it crappy DSL for example? Always plagued by latency issues. Do you have all kinds of crap going out on the Internet while playing? Like widgets and what have you. Any P2P applications running on other computers? Etc, etc, etc....
