Giving HL2 to someone else.
I've finally bought the Orange Box (now that my nearest GAME store slashed the price in half) and, as you can guess from the title, I want to give my current copies of HL2 and Ep 1 to someone else. Do I just uninstall them, or does Steam mean that there's some arsing around required?

I did the same thing, when I got Orange Box and installed and updated it through Steam it told me I had 2 gifts. So my brother was in college and he wanted to play HL2 after he saw how cool Portal was. So All i had to do was click gift and enter his email address (as far as i can recall) and the rest was done. No need to uninstall from what I saw.. but since then I have reformatted my computerMobile: Thinkpad T61 | WinXP Pro | C2D T8300 CPU | 3GB DDR2 | 320GB Hybrid SSD HDD | AGN & WWAN
Desktop: Dell XPS 8300 | 3.4 Ghz Intel i7 | 8GB DDR3 | 1TB OS, 1.5TB Mirrored DATA

If you are looking for people to donate a game to, add me to the list
That is cool, though, that they made it pretty easy to do what you want to do.I don't like signatures.

as long as you know your user name and password ,you can
download and install any game that you have activated on steam
it doesn't get any better than that
