call of duty 4 installation problem

I just installed the game and whenever i try to start it up and skip the intro the game just closes. whenever i start multi player i get an error. it also just closes when i try to change the settings any of you know how to fix this?

What kind of video card do you have?

Here are a few things to check:

What are your system specs, are they enough to run the game?
Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?
Did you patch COD4 to the latest update (1.4...I think)?
Have you tried doing a system restore to a point before you installed the game?
Do you have xfire running when this happens?

Return the game to the store which you bought it from and exchange it for a new copy.

Type it in correctly. I always fat finger the installation code/

how much hard drive space does the installation of call of duty 4 take up?

read the HDD requirements on the box, or off the system requirements from the main site for the game, there's your answer... simple as that...

OR...

it give me this error message when i'm attempting to install the program. i've installed before but since than my hard drive has crashed and i've had to rebuild ect. now the program wont install and it says that it cannot find the cod_intro.bik file even tho i am able to locate it on the cd no problem. what can i do to resolve this dilema?
