well talk to me on saturday morning and I will be able to tell you first-hand
I have loved the Elder Scrolls games and let me tell you they spare no expense on the stories usually. The graphics of Morrowind alone look amazing and from previews I've seen it sounds like a very promising 80+ hour RPG. But if anyone HAS played it then maybe you guys can shed some light on it

check out some of the 1st impressions in the morrowind forums on this site: http://www.rpgdot.com/phpBB2/index.php
Seems even people with low-end systems are finding it amazing, and most say it lives up to the hype of being the greatest RPG and more. I'd love to see it with a G4, but I only have a Radeon 64 ddr. I got a reserve on mine for Friday, so I can give some details then.dandy man lover. ;)

I got my copy today, and its really great. Even with my aging Radeon 64mb ddr it runs nice with the settings pretty high, and looks amazing.
I can tell this ones gonna keep me interested for awhile.
The sounds is great, and the music is some of the best stuff out there. Graphics are great even on my computer, so I can imagine what its like with a geforce 3 and up, with pixel shading on for the water effects. Combat is nice, and the interface and what not works pretty good. Haven't got to far into the story, but so far with the interesting ways the NPCs react, I can see it being real good.
Amazing game so far, if you think your system can handle it, then its definatly worth the money
Works fine on my computer:
1.2ghz t-bird
768mb pc-133

It should run ok, theres people with pretty low-end systems who have got it to work good. If you run it right from your hard drive, then you will get a big increase in performence, cause it wont do all the safedisk stuff, so if you have problems with speed, try that.
I got 10-15 FPS increase, and load times are noticably faster.dandy man lover. ;)

anyone else dieing alot? I keep getting my butt whooped on by cave rats and such (well it was 2 vs 1). And what characters did you guys choose? I chose a wood elf with Ranger type skills (ranged then long blade/ blunt weapons skills) with a little magic built in to beef my character up (mostly restoration school of magic).

yeah the game sounds really good my brother says people are having it crash on them, is this true for you guys?
-
May 5th, 2002, 08:32 PM #18
I have not had a single crash. It sounds like the ones with problems have Geforce 2's oddly enough. A driver update to a beta version has helped some of those users but not all.
