I also play central. I still think a large, SOLID guild will be superior. And on the server that will have the good pvp guilds (as there is likely only to be one tserver like this at first), you will have to be large and good. Even though it is currently only 48v48 on sieges, the large member base allows more resource gathering and also more construction. The large guilds will have better defenses and more potions and what not. Also, with more buildings come more bonuses. So, while only 48 play the siege, they are backed by many.
Have fun with that vid card Homrok
As I said, I won't have a choice of my server but that doesn't bug me. Hopefully I will know soon enough to tell ya'll, and maybe yall will join me |

Well i ended up posting on the AoC Looking for Guild thread and i got like 20 responces in 24 hours. I found a perfect guild. I was looking for something very specific and they fit the bill. I dont want to make this seem like shameless promotion so ill stop there.
I am going to see if i can find a copy of the presale with the early access still on it. I am seeing mixed things on the early release that its closed and open, so one way or the other i want in.
Something to note about guilds is that apparently you have to hit 20 to create the guild. Also, crafting doesnt start until 40. So your bigger guilds with more people for support and pushing through the quests and grinding are going to be the ones better off. I am thinking that although they are not specifically saying this is a group oriented game, that most of the content is going to be designed around being in a group.
I know i am going ranger now! I cant wait! |

I am curious as to what guild you joined (read: I don't want to look it up)
Early Access is closed. Funcom has reached the limit they want their servers to handle before May 20th. The preorder still says you can but it lies. You have to pay 5 bucks to Funcom for early access and it is that that is now closed.
I think I'll play a Conquerer but I still might go Ranger or some kind of magic. |

Actually i registered my account and got confirmation that i am in Early Access as of last night around 10pm. I dont know why it let me in but it did. I am currently scrambling to get my client downloaded intime for the start time tomorrow morning.
The guild is called "Barbarians of Ironwolf" ... ironwolf.guildportal.com ... This is definitely not for the faint of heart as I have been amazed at the organization and sheer numbers of this guild. |

So im happy to say that the game is AWESOME! Such a change from previous games and the whole entire package is well worth the money. I can't wait to hit 40, im already level 22, and there are SO many quests its retarded. You can easily move from the three starting cities and do any of them i guess. Im sticking to cimmeria. |

Free for all PVP sounds SWEET.
Temporary alliances etc. and PVP clans. How sweet to get in a PVP clan, find out that a bunch of them are jerks, join a different one, and then go out and destroy your old clan mwahaha. I also LOVE the idea of being able to TALK to your opponents. I suspect a TON of trash talking but hell, I am sick of the night elf rogues in WOW that gank you when you're low, and then run away. At least now I can whisper the person and call them a chicken unless they come back to duel fairly.

Its so Free For All in the PVP servers, you can kill ANYONE not in your group. That includes guildmates and friends. No one is safe. This is not a twinkie simple game and you really gotta think about your actions. That fatality might kill the guy but the dot he left on you is gonna get you too ... Then you both spawn in the same spot. Continue the fight or leave it be?
My guild is already making a name for itself and we roll 4+ deep in every zone. We have had a few people who thought because they are higher level could take us out, but we never go out without a fight and it is typically them going down. We finally got a GOOD PVP fight going with a slightly higher level group with two healers. They managed to stay alive better then us, that was such a good fight! |
