Question Red alert Aftermath on LAN?

    Hey all,

Picked up the old classic over the weekend.

Managed to get the Redalert game working on LAN but could not get AFTERMATH to work on XP.

Question to you guys: Have any of you played / setup aftermath LAN play successfully? If so , how did you do it?

I have had a look around on the forum was unable to find a lot of info.
Thanks in advance for any support.

Do you have a firewall running on the computers? (or the built in xp firewall?)

Can you give us more information about your network?

You may need to patch the game sense it's old! Run the game in compatibility mode as well. Right click the program icon.

Hey thanks f or your reply. The game is patched with the 3.03 version so certainly up to date.
I just wonder if any one has actually played Red Alert Aftermath on LAN or even online?

    Aftermath best ever

actually, i used to play aftermath at 1996 on LAN with my friends, it was a 'bone crushing' game that took lot of time and it worth playing.. today 2011 and after more than 15 years, i wondered where from i can get it, make it work on win7 and play it on LAN with old friends again.. and i read this post by mistake, so to answer your question, yes it can be played on LAN but that used to be on windows 95, now, i am not sure if this is possible, it should be logically.
