I'll make it easier for our newer member. I think Oblivion is A predecessor to Crysis, in terms of being ahead of it's time, however to a lesser degree, but it is not THE predecessor. THAT, would be Far Cry, same company, (same good gameplay and story,) IMO that is. the ('s )'s mean my opinion.

also, just wondering how many run Oblivion with HDR And AA enabled at same time? thats the way I play on my Geforce 8800GTS 512MB at 1280x1024 resolution... most area's I can get a good 30-45fps in outdoors with most settings jacked up to 75-100%, depending on some area's...

but lately I've been playing with just Bloom Lighting & AA bumped to 4x, get a bit better framerates but not a whopping amount. I got sick of the HDR's bleeding & every damned characters face glowing so bright with HDR that it was annoying. they obviously didn't implement it properly in that game...

Indoor framerates though for my are nearly 100fps.



but whats funny is how Frice goes on to show what they were getting in Oblivion & Crysis with framerates & doesn't even post their hardware to back it up? let alone what resolutions their running at.

I get -1 FPS to MAYBE 2 FPS at crysis Maxed. (Which For me is high, not very high, if I remember correctly.)

AMD 3700+ 2Gigs DDR 400 eVGA 7600GT

Runing on 1280x1024 on mah HP f1905 LCD.
