Does anyone here play Strategy games?
I had to ask, as all I ever see as concerns gaming are first person shooters. What is your favorite strategy game, and what other strategy games do you like?
Personally I like Total Annihilation, The Moon Project, Homeworld, and World War 3: Black Gold.

I play a really old game Empire Deluxe, it's a war type game. It's getting a little old, but I still play it. Kind of slow paced, and I can easily beat the computer, unless I make a scenerio that is hard.
The only kind of action games I like are racing games such as Porshe Unleashed and Rally Trophy. My reflexes are not fast enough for FPS games. Also, those games are too dark or evil for me. I like sunshine and blue sky, not dragons and what not.
My wife and I use to play King's Quest, we also like Myst.

Hmmm I love these games ... right now I am wrapped up in Warlords 2 Battlecry, but I enjoy AOE 2, Total Annihl, and many many many others.

No Civ II players out there? Civ II gobbled enormous amounts of time from my day. 8 hours would go by and feel like one. I have had Civ III here on my bookshelf for over two months now and haven't installed it. At first I was still wrapping up my senior year of college and didn't want to sabatoge myself. Now that school is over I fear getting stuck behin this computer playing all day if I were to install it. I here it is 10 times worse than civ II when it comes to stealing time.

I'm an old time Civ'er and RTS'er..Actually Civ1 was the first game I was addicted to, and C&C I was also addicted to, but my 486/33 w/ 4MB RAM kept freezing up when playing it, so I went over my friends house at least every weekend to play it.
C&C I was hooked on, then I got my new Pentium comp when C&C:RA was out and spent hours playing in Westwoods tournament for C&C:RA:Aftermath (I think I racked up 500 games that month, placed third on Allies worldwide).
I could keep going but it would sound like an old war story.
I bought TA, but I couldnt get into it at all. I'm not sure why either.
I kinda got into Warcraft, but never got into warcraft2. Tiberian sun was a huge dissapointment, but then came SC, and I got rehooked. I did get RA2 but wasnt too impressed with it.
My RTS fad died down since then, but Ive hammered away at every Civ (The Sid Meier ones) since the first one.
