surround sound not working

Board:
asus m3a7-t

So i am having major problems getting my audio in surround sound to work on my new board. Ive installed the drivers like 3 times already and restarted and have gone through all the normal steps to get it working but im only getting sound out the 2 front speaker port ands nothing else. Ive checked the setting and everything seems to be fine...the computer says its all connected ...just no sound

--any ideas?

What speaker system are you using?
How are they connected?
Is this your motherboard?
You are running the Realtek 5.10 audio driver?

The speakers are logitech g51
they are connected directly into my audio ports on my motherboard
my motherboard is a m3a78-t asus (tried reinstalling drivers with cd provided)
and i am running the newest version of realtech 6. 0. 0. 4

as a rule of thumb usually, try updated drivers from the manufacturer's website for the mobo, often drivers included on CD are very outdated.

might be something with Onboard sound & Mobo Chipset interaction, using updated drivers for one & not the other might not work out too?
