    MOH question

Can you have bots in the multiplayer section. It's off the Q3 engine, right? Thats what I heard a long time ago, but I'm not sure. I just played it on an alienware machine at bestbuy! I carumba is it amazing!

What are your thoughts on multiplayer in that game. I would be wanting it mainly for my home LAN (2 computers), and so the bots would be inportant so a friend and I could play against the computer or just play against each other with bots to make it bigger and better!

I'm afraid we are out of luck on the bot issue http://pub66.ezboard.com/fego91803fr...picID=41.topic . Can anyone confirm this?

    Hrmmmm....

    See http://www.gamers.com/userreview/1077358

Pros: Multiplayer level design, fantastic sound
Cons: NO bots, lack of CoOp mode, being forced to use Gamespy

    Wow! Good Stuff!
This nearly has it all. Nearly.
Everything you have read about the good stuff in this game is true. But there are some disappointments as well.

FIRST and foremost, there is NO multiplayer CoOp
mode. In a game of this magnitude and genre, there should be.

SECOND, you CANNOT go prone, even while all the AI around you can. This NEEDS to be rectified.

THIRD, the sniper reticle on the Springfield rifle should be thinner. It obscures too much of your target, especially at long ranges. The Mauser is vastly superior in this regard.

FOURTH, Enemy AI seems to able to take 2 or 3 shots at Point Blank range from the M1 till they go down. While this is NOT meant to be a Sim, the M1 was pretty darn powerful!!! This game does not have an M1 carbine. PLEASE make one!

FIFTH, all online multiplayer activity must go through Gamespy. WHY?!? Wolfenstein uses a much better and less restrictive (for the user) system. This NEEDS to be changed as well.

SIXTH, THERE ARE NO BOTS!!! This really sucks.

Like I said, MOST everything is great. Buy the game. It' still well worth it.

    And another from http://www.gamepro.com/index.html?/s...es/22083.shtml

(Appears to be an interview with a developer...)

    GamePro:
Do the MOH team have any interest in exploring online play for the new wave of consoles?

    Giolito:
Absolutely. One of the driving factors behind Allied Assault was the dream of true online play with up to 64 of your closest friends and enemies ;-). Seriously, MOH is really about the individual groups of soldiers and the enormous sacrifices they made. Most of the fighting took place at the squad level. Online play allows gamers to simulate that experience. We stand ready to fully support online multiplayer action on all platforms should an Internet delivery system be integrated into the hardware. There are two other areas of multiplayer fun that we plan on tackling in the future: co-operative play and bots.
