Battlefield 2 online error. Just shuts off

Hey,
I'm trying to play online games on Battlefield 2. It's worked before but ever since i re-installed it a few times somethings been going wrong. I log on to my BF2 account and search for a server and tons pop up like usual, I click a map i want to play and everything loads like normal. But, as soon as its done loading i hover my mouse over "Play" or "Launch" or whatever it says and then it just shuts off and reroutes to the search for a server page. Its really weird. Please help! thanks!

Do you have Punkbuster installed?

hmm... I don't recall installing it. I guess theres a website i can go to?

Well I have never played battlefield 2, but it should have some anti-cheat system. Most common one I know of is Punkbuster.

Ok. I'll look into it. Just gonna google and see if i can get the instillation. Thank you.
