LOL
I just switched from PC gaming (sort of) to Xbox 360; it's connected to my PC so I'm in my computer room not in the "TV area". And the first game I got was F.E.A.R. 2...love it!
I have no problem sitting back and playing with the controller. As a matter of fact, that's why I switched; it was becoming painful on the hands, wrists and elbow to play long sessions with keyboard and mouse (I know, I know, I could have got controller for PC games; I was also tired of the graphics card updating)
And I can move the 360 to the HDTV when I want to
Now, to OP, can't you go into game settings and setup the controller? |

I seriously do not like using a controller for FPS games since learning the keyboard/mouse. However, I get a feeling that I'm going to have to learn to use a controller because the 3rd party k/m support for the 360 gives you worse control than the actual controller ( microsofts little way to keep both the 360 and the PC alive in the same home ) |

because i have switched from console gaming i prefer to use a controller, the trouble is, with the 360 controller on the pc version of fear i dont seem to be able to configure the hat switch (d-pad) to have 4 separate functions, if i assign a command to say down for example i cannot assign any command to the up,left and right as it says that there is already a command assigned to the hat switch other than that i can sort the rest but there are too many commands for the amount of buttons i have unless i can get the 4 separate directions from the hat switch
because unfortunately with the 360 controller you cant configure the controls in windows with the drivers from micro$oft, so i think i may have to get the redcloud drivers for the s-type controller which lets you do that |

and yeah pc gaming is a hassle when it comes to hardware, graphic card ect.. a console is guarenteed playable with eye candy. console performance is better than 4650 perfomance.
