There is no reason they couldn't have done it with L4D, ill buy it when its cheaper. The problem is they promised alot for L4D and didn't deliver at all. Instead they released some melee weapons, some maps and a few new creatures.

L4D2 was probably worth it, I only paid about $35 myself. Not a big fan of the levels though, I liked the L4D levels better TBH. Too much stuff to explore and too easy to turn yourself around and start heading back the way you came from. At least in L4D if you had a big area you would be able to clearly see what/where you needed to go to and not throw in a ton of trees and bushes to hide your line of sight (though I don't think I've even finished the whole campaign).

Reason I bought it was because friends of mine used to regularly play L4D on versus, but we haven't really done so much yet with L4D2 (probably because of everyone being busy with school and other things).

I'll wait until it goes for half off on Steam. This is the first time I've ever been upset with Valve. Anyone who payed full price for the PC version of L4D has been shafted.

    Have you tried the demo?

Also, I fail to see how anyone who paid $60 for L4D got "shafted". For entertainment you can use as much as you want for a year, $60 is cheap.

I think it was a $50 title IIRC, but I mainly play PC. IDK, console players routinely get screwed with higher prices. Either way, for that amount of money you should get a helluva lot more than 4 maps. Halo 3 had 11 maps, TF2 started with 6 (now ballooned to 32), CoD6 has 16 maps. With L4D, it took a friggen year just to add one lame bonus map. Additionally, a majority of the content from L4D2 could have easily been added to L4D as an expansion pack. The cold truth of the matter is Valve saw an opportunity to get $50 more out of us instead of $20-30 a piece (or, gasp! free to PC because that's what historically has happened on occasion with additional content).
    Good job, friend-of-friends!
