They're STILL patching D2?
So did you guys hear? Blizzard released ANOTHER patch for the undisputed best game of all time, Diablo 2. You now have the ability to respec your character, a bunch of bugs were fixed, and there seems to be some sort of mystery which is yet (afaik) undiscovered.... I for one absolutely can't wait to see what it is. What is it about this game, every time I try to get out, they pull me back in.
Are you gonna start playing Diablo 2 again? I unfortunately lost my LOD cd-key a while back, but I MAY just have to go out and buy yet ANOTHER copy, I can't resist a mystery. (or a ladder reset)
Edit: The official Bnet patch notes page is down for some reason, but here's a basic summary of all the changes : Diablo 2 Diablo 2 Patch Notes 1.13 - Diablo Wiki

are you talking about 1.13? its been out since December, IIRC. Either way, good move by Blizzard to prime the pump and keep us all excited about the franchise.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

Are you sure? I hadn't heard anything about it until a couple days ago, and all the release notes say it was released March 23rd?

You're probably right. I don't play, but I've noticed stories about it popping up since July, so I made an assumption.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

I've completely forgotten about Diablo 2 ever since playing Torchlight...
And @ $5 from Steam, why would you play anything else?

Well, for one Torchlight has no multiplayer, which for me pretty much discounts it from the Diablo category of greatness. Torchlight is a great game, but there's just something about it... I don't know? It doesn't have that air of greatness and adictivity (which is a new word I just invented) that D2 has. There's nothing in Torchlight that can compare to the thrill of a perfectly rolled spirit on a fresh new ladder season.

On a related note, if you're a Diablo fan and like Torchlight, do yourself a favor and check out Titan's Quest. Probably the best true-Diablo clone I've ever played.

I love grinding through mobs, hoping for gear, and in the end not caring because i just wasted hours of my life "enjoying" the experience for the nth time...
Diablo was good and D2 built on it but frankly, i hate having to repeat levels to grind for exp or gear.

Yeah I know what you mean, BUT this patch lets you respec your characters, so thats a whole lot less grinding. It's just about 9 years too late...

I watched the whole kick-off...unfortunately. As I knew a long time ago, the next-gen consoles are more all-in-one machines/social media boxes vs. gaming consoles. You can see that in the current...
