Bought my first game today Painkiller Triple Dose

Yeah yeah, I know

I'm not much of a gamer so me actually buying a game is a bit of a leap. When I do get the urge I usually just stick with playing some of my freebies Wolf ET , FEAR and Area 51 but I played some of the demo and was digging it so I added it to an order on Amazon. 3 games (Painkiller, Painkiller: Battle out of Hell, Painkiller: Overdose) for $9 is hard to beat.

Yeah, I bought it too...still havent figured out how to update it.

edut: uh er what or where did you get your updates? I d/l'd these Painkiller Patches and it actually killed my install

found the answer for that issue, don't need to apply the 1.61 patch
"Please insert the correct CD-ROM" problem

thats where I got 'em...1.62 and havent tried 1.64. The game (unpatched) gets to a certain level wont go past...I forget the error message.

Well I haven't got that far in the game so no issues yet, but yeah those patches won't work. Install 1.61 and got the above error, tried adding the other two and it was no help. Just did 1.62 skipping 1.61 and it says you need 1.61 first. Tried to do it w/o then added 1.64 and still get the same error as from the thread above.

guess I'll check around their forums and see.

That looks pretty cool, downloading it and will give it a try tomorrow, watched the Youtube video on their site, looks pretty good, and is pretty unique for a FPS type game.
