    Steam for mac = fail btw ... They did a side by side comparison with a hackintosh at AnandTech. Performance took a BIG hit compared to Windows. If thats any marker for how the rest of the steam games are going to end up ... Its looking grim for Mac users.

    Yeah ive been playing portal in osx and it feels like it was ported over

    I didnt think about this but Steam is built on DirectX which is no go for Mac so they had to port it all to OpenGL. It just doesnt deliver the same results ... sadly.

    on a related note, how's everyone feel about the site/steam client re-skin? It feels like they gave it that clean-tech look just to appeal to the mac folk.
    On topic, I think a lot of us picked up portal with the Orange Box. Nice move on Valve's part to get more people interested in their wares.

    dug out hl2 and installed - even remembred my steam log in ..... portal is cool

    and the "guide" is insane..... quick thing goes i - quick thing comes out lol

    dotter says the voice annoys her ......score!!!!!
