I have to turn firewall off to play Multiplayer. PLEASE HELP!!!

I really love to play a Multiplayer game of Age of Empires, but everytime I try to do so, I just don't get to the game. It says "Unable to join". If I then close my firewall, it works fine, but I don't like my firewall being off all the time.

Could someone PLEASE help me??

I don't play Age of Empires, so I don't know what port it uses. Go to the website of the creator of the game. Odds are you will be able to find out what ports it needs to use and then you can open them from the firewall.

What firewall do you use? Some firewalls are more easily configured by setting permissions to individual programs than by port. Depends on the firewall.
