Is it possible to use 3-D Analyze to run FFXIV?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to run FFXIV on my system (which is probably pretty stupid in the first place) and I'm below the requirements. My comp. is pretty low-end...I've got an Acer Aspire 6920 laptop (with the Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family), but I'd like to see if it is at all possible to make it work. I've been exploring some options and came across some software called 3-D Analyze which can supposedly use some of your CPU power to emulate a more powerful GPU...sounds pretty cool. Anyone have any experience with this software? Think its possible to make it work? I'd greatly appreciate any advice/suggestions...

P.S. My computer-tech savvy is average at best, but I'm looking to improve it!

quick answer is buy a new computer?

Nothing you do will make you happy like buying a real computer that meets the specifications that are asked for by the game/software. Bite the bullet and do it. You will be happier overall with a new computer then just barely being able to squeeze out game play at 3 fps.

There is a specific reason they ask you to meet a minimum and that is because it needs that much hardware to run efficiently. If you take away CPU cycles to do GPU work then you end up not having enough cycles to do what the CPU is supposed to do and now instead of a slow down on the GPU you have a slow down on the CPU side. No amount of RAM or HD paging will make up for the fact that your CPU is at 100% and not able to compute any more.

So again, put on the big boy pants and ask mom and dad for some extra cash to get your parts list desires filled. If your old enough not to ask mom and dad for some money, then Credit cards to the rescue. Use them responsibly!

PS: gaming and laptop should never be located near each other in same sentence. Get a desktop and save yourself trouble, time, and grief.

    Cheers!

This software wont accomplish what you want to do. Your laptop has a weak video card and thats pretty much the end of the story right there
