Counter Strike 1.6 stuck when I connect to a server.

It all started 3 days ago..
I wanted to enter a server, and when I have the screen that I need to press OK, and choose team, the game just stuck, and I have to close it from the Task Manager.
I didn't download anything, I don't know what happend..
Can you help me please?

Are you connected to steam when this happens? What's the specs of your computer? Did you change any hardware or software before this problem started happening?

If all else fails, uninstall and reinstall. Sometimes Valve games have weird errors like this.
