Empire Earth

I have empire earth 1.0.0.0 and so does my friend, we were playing connect via IP mutliplayer, it worked. But now we have a seperate 4 digit number after 1.0.0.0, we've tried everything but we can't play because the numbers are differant.

I think it's the build number, we've tried copying our exes, looking through the registery but we just don't know how to fix. Any ideas?

Mine is 2020 and my friends is something like
1798.

Any ideas?

Maybe both of you try downloading and installing the same Update patch.... so they match.
