I'll have to reserve my copy next month when I have more money. Just spent it on a new PSU, video card and SSD drive.

    Holy. Crap.

    That trailer looks awesome!

So far I haven't been impressed a whole lot by EA/Orgin. Ordered BF3 through Orgin on 8/8 and received an email from them the next day about a special gift for having purchased BF3 early. The deal was for Dead Space 2, Meal of Honor, and some other game, any one of which I could download for free during August. Yes, the email said this.

I was thinking "cool, I like free stuff". So I ordered up Dead Space 2 and entered the code they had sent me. The email had said that the total due wouldn't "zero" out until submission, so I submitted and when I got the confirm, it showed I was charged $25.70 for a supposedly free game.

Not being one to take being charged lightly, I got on EA online help asap. Gave them my story, including part of the email, my order number and such stuff. Turns out the deal for a free game was over on Aug 7. I ordered on August 8th and got the email on August 9th. I reread my email from EA, and yep, it says I can get a free game any time during the month of August.

They were able to refund the money, which is good because I wouldn't have paid anything for any of the 3 games offered. But what got me was why did I get sent the email 2 days after the deal ended, and why didn't the code I entered come up as no good?

Not off to a good start with me...

It's the meal you get when you're an awesome dude! I take it you've never had that experience?

Your kidding on Punkbuster, right? It hasn't worked right since day one, a couple of games I play, actually stopped using it, it was so in effective. At least on the servers hosted by the games developers, and 99.9% of the private servers don't even use it. Unfortunately because its integrated into the game, and no longer used, you have to update it via a combination of command lines with in the game.

Well I can tell you that PB has caught me haxxing my ass off in COD and then I could not play certain servers because they stream the PB bans with the CD key. Boy, it was fun to hack though.

The only "hacking" I do, was with Joint Operations, Made the Weapons Mod I had, for Weapons, and Vehicles (Rates of fire, types of Ammo, some Vehicle speed/handling "tweaks"), and released the mod files to some friends and other acquaintances online (game clan, and one or two other clans who were friends with ours), only to be hosted on MY server I had set up, and one of theirs they tried. If you entered any OTHER server, with or with out PB enabled, after a couple moments you'd be kicked, and warned about using Hacks and cheats (same thing would happen if people came into my server with out the proper Mod files, even though their weren't using any "cheat" files).

I had 2 mods, one was for International Conflict Mod for Joint Operations, the other was for Advanced Warfare 2 Mod for JO, the latter I couldn't host from my server host, but the former was the first and more chaotic Incarnation and I could host with it.

I think I already posted these on here before, a year or two ago, but not sure if you've seen these Taxman?

One of the most popular modded weapons, and most useful in most maps.

Dual modes, single shot with medium range sniping ability (fired 7.62mm in single shot vs standard 5.7mm rounds normally with the P90), Full auto mode, fires 12 Gauge Buck Shot at an absurd rate as you can see in the two clips.

Mow down 200 Enemy bots in Close Quarters in less than 20 seconds with primary full auto mode:

And this was one of the more mundane weapons in my mod.

We tried TDM a couple times and needless to say we all died a lot, the one time I played I died the least, but I knew a few of the quirks with some weapons, as well as neglected to tell some others of a couple extra's I threw in, like the CS gas Canisters replacing the useless Smoke Grenades, and the throw range, bounce factor and rebound ability as well as Insta Kill damage if with in so many meters from the grenade when it went off. What I didn't tell them about the CS Gas was that I also replaced it in the standard Pump Shot Gun, which was a secondary/side arm weapon, so you could run around with the Pump Shot Gun CS Gas, CS Gas Canisters, P90, and still carry a heavy weapon accessory like Satchel Charges (increase damage and throwing distance) or carry the Modded Stinger (3 round clip, locks onto enemy aircraft, Speed, Pitch, Yaw rates doubled for Missile, damage was bumped up 3 or 5 times more, 3 round clip could be tapped off one at time, or held down and all 3 rounds fired off in less than a second, AND weapon could be fired line of sight with no lock needed, which was effective at destroying enemy Armor in one or two shots).

And yes, there was much much more to the weapons mod.

Another sample, and 2nd weapon was one of a few that lagged things down in many maps (mortars and P90 were the other two) due to rate of fire and explosions, or in case of P90 Buckshot and bullet mark decals on walls lagged it down bad for others.

you can view some of the other weapon mods (not all of them listed) on my YT Channel there. There's a few other vids where I was trying stuff out like vehicle speeds and had some interesting/funny results.

Also a vid of me running through one quick map with the mod (map's usually quick to play with a half dozen players, and a few deaths, sometimes more for the Rambo's that like to rush ahead into the fog and get killed, but was even quicker yet with just one person and the mod), you can see how effective the one Nade spewing LMG was in many maps.

I even had a Minigun in later versions of the Mod (Sternal Saw version and the one after), though there was no 3D model for foot soldiers to carry a Mini, so had no 3D model in hand when used, and from other players perspectives when the gun was fired the muzzle flash came out their Ass (person firing the gun), Mini Gun had Unlimited Ammo (could never get it fixed, either unlimited or the Ammo count would start at 0 Rounds and count backwards in Negative as rounds fired, even after hitting say -1000 rounds for a 1000 Round capacity, it would continue firing anyways with unlimited ammo), so had to make some workarounds, had to add an Overheat function (which was already in place for Emplaced mini guns, but needed to be tweaked for player), Overheat built up slower, than emplaced versions, but the cool down before you could fire again was MUCH faster than emplaced weapons, plus there was a glitch with the Mini, the weapon I chose to replace in the load out with it, CAR-15, was pretty much a useless weapon in the game, but when switching to secondary fire mode ability with the Mini, it switched to a CAR-15 with different Ammo loadout, as well as Single and Full Auto mode, in the end it worked out, because the CAR-15 wasn't affected by heat/cool down, had its own ammo, and became sort of a secondary stand in while the mini gun cooled down, for heated situations for those that liked to use the Mini non stop, then find out they couldn't fire, those of us that preferred to fire in short controlled bursts rarely had to ever switch to the CAR-15 LOL.

Mini gun wasn't too effective against Armor or even Light Armor like a BTR or Striker LAV type vehicle, but was good for fire suppression, and at longer range (fired 7.62 rounds), as it was also equipped with a Red Dot Scope/Sight and limited 4x or so Zoom level. Good for maps with waves of enemy coming at you, in a defensive type Coop map.
