The graphics look amazing! I'm still enjoying BFBC2, though I think I may pick up BF3 when it comes out so I'm not so far behind everyone else when it comes to kit options.

DirectX 11 Rendering in Battlefield 3

    Current desktop is:

    Intel i7 3.0 Ghz
    Asus Sabertooth X58 motherboard
    24 GB of Patriot Memory
    Kingston SSD 64 GB HD
Samsung 1 TB HD 7200 RPM
    Corsair 650W PSU
    Antec Case
Acer 23 inch wide screen monitor
XFX Radeon HD 4350 512 MB video card

Ill be adding another SSD drive for raid 0, looking into SLI (after the game requirements come out) which will probably mean a new power supply too!

my antiquated core2duo system wont handle the higher end so i think it will mean saving for a total rebuild.

I hear ya, the graphics look almost movie like! Hopefully my rig will be able to handle the game, though I think my cpu runs at about 60% right now with BFBC2, the gpu seems to be okay.

The only thing that sucks about BF3 is that it won't run in XP. I'm still holding on to XP as long as I can. Looks like I'll have to create a separate partition for Win 7 for this game.

I thought that was one of the best things.. Look how great they can make games if they utilize this awesome hardware...

Well its more dealing with DirectX versions and the engine they are using. XP doesnt support DirectX 11, its time to move on Xp has had a good run

Plus how many of the newer video cards have xp drivers? Seems like a huge waste getting a dx11 card when you cant take advantage of it
