One thing I know that's good about a PS3 is that it can play Blueray...sooo.

PS3 has free online play, better graphics and blu-ray. It's got my vote.
It is really a matter of personal preference though. I think online community features tend to be better applied through XBox Live, so if you do a lot of online gaming, it may be the better option for you.
Since you already had the Xbox, I'm guessing you have a few games and an Live membership. If you switch to PS3, you'll have to re-purchase games and any remaining Live time goes to waste. The vast majority of good games are platform independent, so for you switching to PS3 may cost more than it's worth.Good job, friend-of-friends!

ps3 vs xbox 360 s
I have to say they are both awesome. Xbox 360s have alot bigger game selection but ps3 has bluray. Xbox 360 s has a more powerful gpu so it will have a little better graphics. Xbox live has to be paid for but you get so much more things compared to playstation network.plus psn always gets shutdown or hacked which is super annoying. You can't go wrong with either machine but i would get the xbox 360 s

ps3 vs xbox 360 s
Xbox 360 s has been tested by cnet and it has better graphics. It makes lights and shadows look more realistic. Playstation 3 just has a little sharper buildings but it has blue ray. Play station network keeps on getting hacked or shutdown which is super annoying. Xbox live has wayyyyy more features but you have to pay a pretty low price and it has wayy more games Xbox 360 s looks a lot better but it all comes down to opinions. I think you should get a xbox 360 s

LOL, thats a crock, the PS3 has the better Graphics, Xbox 360's Graphics chip is so outdated its not even funny.
Its possible that the 360's graphics is just better implemented and utilized than the PS3's in some cases, but the PS3 does have the superior hardware, just might not be as well implemented.
And you can't really blame the PS Network, even if they did have adequate protection, that would not guarantee they wouldn't get hacked, it was just that they got caught with their pants down a couple times, I'm sure if hackers really wanted to, they could bring Xbox Live to its knee's as well.
What it comes down to is which platform has the majority of games that you want. Which is the way its always been, with extra's like BluRay, and gaming network features 2nd place.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Ps3 has 7 SPEs on the cpu but barely any games utilizes them all so on most cases the newest xbox 360 has better graphics. Resolution is not the only thing that matters. Ps3 still doesn't have halo. Search ps3 vs xbox 360 Round 1 and some of the other rounds. You will see what I mean. Ps3 does have better hardware. The truth is that barely anybody hacks xbox live. Psn gets hacked a lot. Think of it that way.

You keep mentioning that resolution is not the only thing that matters, yet both ps3 and 360 run / output to the same resolutions. I fail to see your point here, unless im suddenly unaware of some new ultra high resolution?

I own a 360, and have played PS3. I see what you are saying in a sense. Depending on how well the developer takes advantage of the hardward, will ultimately decide the graphics the average consumer assumes it's capable of.
Though it's a toss up, some games on 360 look better than on ps3 and vice versa. The bottom line here, is from a purely technical perspective, the PS3 has the higher potential. This is not the fault of the system if the game develepors have not learned how to properly use the power available (though ultimately due to it not being fully taken advantage of, many goes do indeed look as good, if not better on 360.
Again, this is mostly due to how familair the developer is with the hardware.Main PC: AMD FX-8350 / 16gb DDR3 1600 / AMD 7970GE 1200mhz Core & 1600mhz Mem / Win7 Pro 64bit
File Server: AMD Opteron 180 / 3gb DDR400 / Nvidia 6200 / WinXP Home 32bit / Lubuntu 12.10

Or why Metal Gear Solid,Uncharted, and Resistance will never come to the 360. They are a specific console only games, so zunehdrocks you cant use that as an arguement

Developers know how to. It is just that they don't want to spend the time and money to.

Those titles are console exclusive, sure they could do it but they wont because then that means the consumer can buy whatever console they want to play the games. If a gamer wants to play Uncharterd they have to go with a Ps3

Please provide a link to support what you are saying.
Is this mere opinion? Got a link to support your assertion?many goes do indeed look as good, if not better on 360.
Loads of people want halo or something on their Ps3 but it won't happen.
Yeah, it's called exclusivity, and all systems have it. That is not a valid argument at all.
partly, this has to do with the PS3 always having HDMI, whereas the original X360 didn't (IIRC). Resolution isn't a big factor with either console, IMO. Just because a console is capable of outputting to a certain resolution, it doesn't mean developers take advantage of it. The average PS3 game is coded for 720p.more games are 1080p on ps3 than xbox 360
Got a link to back that up?Developers know how to. It is just that they don't want to spend the time and money to.Good job, friend-of-friends!

My god, if your going to reply to a thread and spam it, at least reply with a competent posting...
Microsoft Imitated the Works for PS3... first of all that makes no sense, and 2nd if it was meant to say that microsoft copied PS3... then your even dumber yet, since the 360 came out before the PS3 did.
Of course its a moot point since the poster is nothing more than a lame brain spammer anyways.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

um, and PS3 will never have Halo, thats like expecting Microsoft or Sony to Have Mario as their Platform Mascot, its never going to happen.

Strange? I get around 30-45 fps in WoT. Now when I installed GTA 4 same fps but now it drops alot when i look at players tanks, didn't use to do it as much. Fps before GTA 4 was installed was 20fps...
World of Tanks fps drop after...
