Skyrim Key Remapping

Had to search around for this so I figured I'd post it here.

I used a non-stardard move setup, WSAF instead of WSAD. When you change this, certain other keys in the menus get changed without updating the graphics. Specifically the favorites key.

If you change F away from PoV toggle, your new favorite key will be whatever you changed it to. Mine is Z for example, but in the menus, it still says it's F.

This may occur with other keys as well, but that's the first one I've run into.

well hopefully they will patch and fix that. From what I've read they more or less made the game a console port with PC controls and better eye candy. Would be a shame if they didn't patch this for PC users, something so small and simple overlooked.

Do they still have the ability to take screen shots from with in the game? Oblivion did, but you had to modify one the games settings files to enable the key for Screen shots and such.

Print Screen doesn't work?

Also, do any of you know a way to quickly raise Heavy Armor Skill? I played for 10 hours today and wore Heavy Armor as soon as I got some, but my skill is only 17. I was only able to get one Heavy Armor perk before I got a message saying that I need a Heavy Armor skill of at least 20. So because of that I have been leveling my one hand. I would like to raise my Heavy Armor skill as I am still very squishy.

No, in Oblivion it allowed you to use Print Screen to take screen shots in game, but I remember at one point you had to modify the games config file to enable that, may have been fixed with one of the patches for the game, but I remember in the beginning before Knights of The Nine came out, you had to go in and enable it somehow, it wasn't available on initial configuration.

Was wondering if they had the same thing or not, just in case someone doesn't have or use FRAPS or a similar program.

You can use the Steam screenshot key (F12) for Skyrim. If you don't have Steam (naughty naughty) you will have to use FRAPS as far as I know. I use FRAPS so I can monitor my FPS and tune my settings accordingly, and it takes better SSs in my opinion.

I can use FRAPS (though I hate FRAPS sometimes, depending on the games it can tank framerates occasionally when used for recording or capturing screenshots), EVGA Precision, or a couple other programs I have for screenshots, or FPS overlay, but was just wondering in case someone else didn't (be it here, or someone I know online, or in "real" world that has the game on PC).

as to Steam, the only Naughty Naughty part of that is the fact that you NEED steam to activate/register and run this game.
