XBox Headsets
Hello Everyone,
Please keep in mind that I am NOT a gamer, My son is. He plays on his Xbox and Xbox live. His el'cheapo headset long since broke and I am in the market for purchasing a headset for him. My budget is $100 give or take a 20 spot.
He mentioned Turtle beach and I looked up those, and i like the idea of the wireless headset but some reviews show that the X31 actually interferes with wi-fi and I can't have that. the X41 seems to be better.
But we are getting a little pricy there. So I was wondering what do you guys use.
Recomendations?
Even ones to stay away from.
I guess sound and quality doesn't matter much to him as he was fine with the cheapo ones, but my MAIN thing, it can not interfer with my Wi-Fi. (I to to school online and i'm in my room studying)
TIA,
Neo

Well since no one has let me know what they use and if they like it or not, i'm just gonna go with whatever reviews I can find.
REally want to get him the Turtle Beach Ear Force DX11 (but no one seems to have one for sale)
So was going to get the Ear Force DPX21 but its $10 over my give or take a 20 spot
So I reasoned he had an el'cheapo set before that just about anything will suffice him and elected to get him the Ear Force PX21 and this will work out well as he will also be able to use it on the PC.
Thank you for your help!

The DX11 is really nice. I've toyed around with it (friend has it) and I really enjoy the surround sound capability.
The PX21 as you noted is universal and there's absolutely nothing wrong with good ol' stereo sound.
Personally I'm not a fan of wireless headsets (hate dealing with batteries n such). Sounds like you've done some good research and made a well-thought out decision.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

I agree on the wireless headsets. I was just getting too reading with issues with wi-fi, but his handset is wireless and once I discovered that the headsets actually plug into the hand conroller that simplfied things as the cord won't be dragged all the way across the room. So this I think will work out nicely.
Thanks Tony!

if your looking for a cheaper alternative, buy a xbox live bundle as they typically come with the wired headset the system came with. I think i have three total now ... (and PG3 and a i think a bundle of live games too.)

Nemo,
He already got a bundle it came with a one year xbox live subcription, but those headsets broke in him.
already ordered the headset through newegg as they seemed to have the best price and i have not had trouble with ordering through them either.
Let ya'll know how he likes them after his birthday.

you can google AV Music Morpher Gold from Audio4fun, it allows you to cut, paste, mix songs and add other effects as well! A cool software that I'm using at the moment! Hope it helps!
